Bubbles

Last but not least, here's Bubble's Wikipedia paragraph:

"Bubbles (voiced by Tara Strong in the series and by Kath Soucie in the What a Cartoon! episodes) is the cute and sensitive one. Her personality ingredient is sugar, her signature color is baby blue, and she has short blonde hair in two ponytails. She tends to act like the baby of the group, despite being the same age as her sisters, but she sometimes can get extremely mad. Her best friend is a stuffed octopus doll she calls "Octi". She exhibits the ability to both understand foreign languages (Spanish, Japanese) and communicate with various animals (squirrels, cats, monsters). She will always stand up for (and cuddle with) animals, except cockroaches, which she and her sisters find "icky". She displays and is defined by innocence, playfulness, and a gentle demeanor, having a tendency to be naïve, ditzy, submissive, and shy."

And Boysen's comments.

Bubbles is awesome because she’s the cutest and her color is blue! Plus she can speak Spanish and talk to squirrels which is just totally awesome. All the bad things happen to her*, like she had glasses,
gets stung in her neck and can’t speak, and people think she’s weak! She can be strong! And her love for Octi is just adorable.
Because she’s not the smartest, her somewhat stupidity makes her funny! Blossom might be the smartest and Buttercup might be the strongest but Bubbles is the cutest! She rocks!

*That isn’t true, in Sun Scream (I believe) Buttercup gets hit with a bird, in one episode Blossom gets the worst haircut ever, and in See Me, Feel Me, Gnomey Buttercup falls on her face.

Blossom

Here is what the Wikipedia says about Blossom:

Blossom (voiced by Cathy Cavadini) is known for being the smartest one, as well as being the self-proclaimed leader of the Powerpuff Girls. Her personality ingredient is "everything nice", her signature color is pink, and she has long fiery red hair with a red bow.[20] She was named for having spoken freely and honestly to the Professor shortly after her creation. She is often seen as the most mature, level-headed, and composed member of the group, although she can at times be fussy, overbearing, petty, and too analytical. She tends to "parent" Bubbles and Buttercup, and often tries to play peacemaker between the two if they fight (though she is very quick to argue with Buttercup). In the episode "Ice Sore", she discovered her ability to freeze objects with her breath, and breathe fire. She also speaks Chinese.

And here is what I say.

Blossom is cool and a great leader, even if she is bossy sometimes. She has beautiful hair and her special power is ice breath.

She often fights with Buttercup, but they don’t mean the mean things they say because they love each other because they are sisters. She likes to plan strategies instead of fighting head on. She is sensitive, but not as much as Bubbles. You could say she’s the ‘smartest’ of the group, but only by a little because the other girls are smart in their own right. Blossom has her flaws, but when she does something wrong she always feels bad about her actions.

Buttercup

To start off this blog, the three of us will write about the three Powerpuff Girls. We'll begin with Buttercup, here's what the Wikipedia has to say:

"Buttercup (voiced by E.G. Daily) is the toughest of the three. Her personality ingredient is spice, her signature color is light green, and she has short black hair. She is the tomboy in the group, and she has a very short temper. Sometimes her aggression gets the better of her, making her reckless and stubborn. She has, however shown a softer side in several episodes. For example, in the episode "Cover Up", she had a soft green blanket that she was obsessed with that gave her the confidence to be a better fighter, and she is quite protective over her sisters, as shown in "Buttercrush". Buttercup hates baths and loves getting dirty. She is the only Powerpuff Girl without a unique super power (aside from curling her tongue) as well as the only unilingual Powerpuff Girl."

And here's Bethany's view.
Buttercup is an underdog of sorts. She has the most useless power (curling her tongue),

the least meaningful name (only because it started with a B).

But, despite being one of the least, I believe she is the best. She may be rash, possibly mean, but she isn’t bossy (cough Blossom) or a stereotypical stupid blonde (Bubbles)*. She’s a tomboy, a fighter. She is determined. She is independent. She is herself. She speaks her mind, she does what she thinks is right. She may not be the leader but she is a leader. Buttercup deserves recondition. She deserves better than she has.

* I resent that, Bubbles is NOT stupid. Think Bubblevicious.

And we know for a fact that Bethany's is Buttercup.

How'd that work out so well? Anyway, we love the PPG's so much that we started  a blog about them. If you can't tell. So uh, that's it I guess. And to create a tradition on this blog, we will end with a quote.
